It is fair to say that the major attraction of visiting the Cook Islands is its beaches. Rarotonga’s beachfront is, quite literally, breath taking. It offers everything you could imagine when you close your eyes and dream of a shorefront paradise. The sands are pure white and pristine, the water is transparent and calm as it laps against the shores of the lagoon. The fact that Pacific Resort Rarotonga sits more than 3200 kilometres from the nearest source of industrial pollution gives the area a feel of unaltered charm and cleanliness. The design of the hotel resort, with its heavy use of thatching and traditional architecture, augments this sense of indigenous grace. Unlike many hotels in the area, the Resort Rarotonga caters for families. The hotel strives to accommodate everyone, with a children’s club to occupy the young ones in the day, and a dedicated nanny service for the night time.
