About Boutique Hotel Club

Boutique Hotel Club is a curated members' club for travellers who book independent boutique hotels. The selection is small and deliberately so — 400+ hotels across more than 50 countries, every one visited, reviewed and approved by our editorial team. The Club exists to give travellers a shortlist worth trusting and the rates to back it.

Members book at rates we've negotiated with the hotels directly. Same room, same cancellation policy, same board option as on Booking.com, Expedia or the hotels' own sites — at a meaningful saving inside the Club. The hotels offer these rates because the Club delivers their kind of guest. We protect that arrangement by keeping the membership closed.

Membership is by application. We approve travellers individually, typically within 48 hours.

How we select

Every property is assessed against a 400-point standard across hospitality, design, food and beverage, service and sense of place — a full editorial review before any hotel is listed. The result is the inventory you see across the site: small independent properties with genuine character, written about properly, available at rates the Club has secured.

We turn down more nominations than we accept. The selection is one of the things you're paying for, even when you're not paying.

How booking works

Every hotel page on the site carries a booking widget where members reserve directly at the Club's negotiated rates. No platform booking fees. Same cancellation terms as the hotel offers publicly. The Private Rates Concierge handles complex multi-property itineraries via WhatsApp.
