Origins
The building dates back to 1925, designed by architect Dov Sandovsky. It was originally used as a private residence for six families living side by side. Inspired, the current owners created 15 unique rooms; including many of the original features, such as tiles and wrought iron stair railings.

The dining room is unlike other restaurants in Tel-Aviv so you must book in advance; The mouth watering locally sourced fish cocktail, served on a bed of risotto is divine.

The Review
The Alma Hotel and Lounge comprises an elegant Boutique Hotel and delightful restaurant, where guests can enjoy the offerings in the cosy dining room, or in the intimate private garden area. The building has been lovingly restored to modern comfort, whilst still preserving the period features of the 1920 art deco design.
Delicate scents take you on an exotic journey as you pass through the hotel and the period features are complimented by antiques discovered in the culturally rich flea markets of Old Town Jaffa and further afield from global treasure trove sources; as well as ntique pieces there are tasteful modern creations from contemporary designers. Each of the rooms and suites are decorated with unique themes. Bespoke toiletries and robes, custom made beds and mattresses, Egyptian cotton linen and plush pillows ensure ultimate comfort and retreat for guests; the espresso machine in every room helps awaken the mind and body ready for a day exploring the city.
The dining room has luxurious furniture, gentle lighting, crisp linen napkins, and knowledgeable staff keen to make your dining experience more than just eating for necessity. Ingredients are fresh, and flavours compliment each other effortlessly. Working with quality locally sourced ingredients, the dishes also look beautiful to the eye before reaching the palate.
