The Review
There are two sides to Mykonos.. one is the famous narrow picturesque and bustling streets of Mykonos Town, lined with shops, cafes and bars and the almost 24-hour party vibes of Super Paradise beach. The other is the opportunity to find peace and tranquillity.. winding roads that take you to small villages with tavernas selling delicious grilled sardines, hillsides dotted with traditional whitewashed homes that glisten in the sun, and a myriad of small beaches fronting the translucent Aegean Sea.
The Ostraco Suites offers you access to the best of both worlds. It is ideally located within a 10-minute walk to the town, but far enough away to enable you to relax in a secluded haven.
The design is striking. Curved pathways lined with specimen plants and local greenery provide a feeling of space and softness. The rooms, whilst reflecting the traditional Mykonian architecture, are contemporary with pristine white walls and furnishings. Striking bathrooms formed of curved and recessed concrete and stone are worthy of being shown in a modern art gallery. Many rooms have private balconies and outdoor jacuzzis... the perfect place to relax, sip a drink from the extensive bar menu and view the famous Mykonos sunset.
A variety of stylish sunloungers and beds allow you to sunbathe in style and comfort, and when it gets too warm, the pool, curved to fit with the overall design, beckons.
The Ostraco chef declares his passion for fish and seafood. This is evident.. the sumptuous platter prepared with succulent sea bass, tempura prawns in a signature wrap and langoustini set on a bed of local vegetables perfectly sautéed in olive oil showed food preparation at its best. A varied menu also provides other delicious options.
