Origins
The sprawling beachfront property that Villa Mia is built on was bought by a couple in 2008. Although it is located on Chaweng beach – possibly the busiest beach in Samui-- there was no development here earlier. A year after acquiring the land, the couple completed the building and began running it has a hotel. They named the property after their young daughter, ‘Mia.’ The couple, while vey private, make regular visits to the property and work closely with the staff to ensure its top-notch upkeep.

If the luxury factor is not enough, Khun Joy, the villa manager, is a sure reason to stay at Villa Mia and return again. A warm professional, amazing cook, and authority on Samui, she can organize everything from jet skis to fresh lobster within a few minutes.

Villa Mia is awe-inspiring, even at first glance: as soon you step in to the gates of this secret property, you are greeting by a luxurious Balinese style, five-bedroom villa. The property is long and sprawling, and a fantastic pool that stretches from entrance to beach guides you through the landscape, only pausing to direct you to an awesome Jacuzzi or charming outdoor dining area.
Even more breathtaking is the open-plan of the property; right on the beach, and just steps away from the water, Villa Mia rambles casually from luxurious room to garden to powdery sand. The location is possibly the best on the island; guests have the ability to look out in to the busy activity of Chaweng beach from their plush residence, and can quickly join in on a water sport or beach activity if they desire.
The rooms are laid out intelligently, making Villa Mia a great fit for a small family that enjoys ample space or a large group of friends who would prefer to live intimately. The interiors are inspired by local aesthetics and much of the furniture is sourced from Chiang Mai; the vibe is tropical, warm, and cozy. Each bedroom is equipped with a state of the art television and DVD player. Soothing shades of blue dominate the villa; many of the bathrooms come with giant tubs, perfect for reading a book by candlelight; others come with powerful rain showers.
Daily life at Villa Mia is divine, thanks to the intuitive staff that take care of the property, and double up as mind readers. With professionalism that matches the standard of any seven star hotel, the five-person team takes care of all meals and go the extra mile to accommodate dietary needs. Everything is prepared fresh, on-site, and the culinary delights that are created here can generate instant envy from friends far away.
