Expert Review
Origins
In 1978, José Luiz Vazquez arrived in Búzios, with the desire of living in a beautiful fishing village, with a panoramic view of the Atlantic Ocean.
After finding the perfect place, he created Abracadabra, offering a homelike experience, excellence service and a simple yet trendy atmosphere for family, friends and travellers alike.
Top Secret
The hotel features many impressive and local artworks, such as paintings and sculptures. This includes work by the sculptor Christina Motta, made famous for her bronze statue of Brigitte Bardot in Búzios.

The Review
Abracadabra is an exceptional blend of beauty and rustic charm, nestled 5 minutes from the chic and sophisticated centre of Buzios, in the state of Rio De Janeiro. The town was made famous by French actress Brigitte Bardot, for its stunning 23 beaches, breath-taking bay and clam waters.
This scenery is beautiful from any angle but its best admired from Abracadabra’s idyllic sunset facing terrace and infinity pool.
Originally a guesthouse, over the years it has blossomed to a charming boutique hotel, with 16 rooms. Each is bespoke with original artworks and unique features, with delightful sea or garden views.
The hotel is covered in tropical plants, orchids and palm trees, attracting beautiful wild birds and animals. The staff are so incredibly friendly and provide an atmosphere of harmony, relaxation and true pleasure while maintaining a professional and personalised service.
But it’s the hotel’s restaurant and sunset lounge Mistico that is a real cut-above-the-rest. Ranked the number one best restaurant in the area, the Head-Chef Bruno Barros was trained in London by Gordon Ramsey and other famous Michelin’s star chefs. The food is of exceptional quality and inspired by local ingredients, freshly caught fish and Brazilian classics. Every dish is a work of art, and comes with freshly baked breads and seasonal daily dishes. Catering for all tastes and dietary requirements, each course is the perfect blend of mouth-watering flavours and unique textures and combinations.
Abracadabra is a hotel no one should miss in Brazil, a truly magical experience.
