Apete, the owner, was driven to carry on the vision of his father to create a beautiful relaxing retreat. His father created the man made island to protect the lagoon and create a reserve where marine life could flourish and people from all over the world could come and experience the beauty of Lalomanu. Apete travelled the world to find the right design for the villas and in 2012 opened Aga Reef Resort to the world.

Set on the idyllic south-eastern coastline of the Samoan island of Upolu, and well off the beaten tourist path, Aga Reef Resort provides a tranquil hideaway for honeymooners, couples and families seeking a peaceful holiday.
Fulfilling the vision of his father, owner Apete embarked on a labour of love building a unique resort designed in harmony with the coral lagoon environment.
Age Reef has been built around a lagoon with a man-made island creating a protected coral reef paradise teeming with brightly coloured sea life.
There are 8 villas located on the water's edge, designed for privacy and shelter from the South sea trade winds, whilst maximising outstanding views of the majestic cliffs and coral coastline. The 8 ocean view hotel rooms also offer great views of the lagoon & beyond.
As you enter the room you are greeted by warm natural timbers, a comfortable king bed and a cool airy retreat from the sun. They are spacious beautifully decorated with local materials including paintings commissioned by local artists. The island villas frame a view of sheer cliffs towering above the lagoon below, blanketed by thick green jungle. The waterfront villas provide an equally stunning vista of lagoon and reef to the open ocean beyond. Your private balcony suspended right over the water lets you relax while watching the tropical fish swim beneath you.
When you want to explore the reef, grab some complimentary gear and head out directly in front of the resort to see a breath-taking array of tropical fish and coral. Aga Reef Resort is close to several waterfalls, a cave pool, the ocean trench, and is an easy day trip to Apia, the main city where you can explore many different markets.
