Origins
Four years ago, the owners fell in love with the imposing Mother Emmanuel AME church across the road from the hotel. Partnering with Marriot they built this unique contemporary hotel alongside the circa 1830 Delaney House. Bridging nearly 200 years, these buildings combined blend historical features with sumptuous modern design to create a unique boutique hotel.

They are the only boutique hotel in the city to have a fully equipped gym in the building and they go one better as they’ll even organise a private fitness trainer (yoga, barre etc.) to come in and train with you if needed.

The Hotel Bella Grace is a stunningly designed hotel located in a quiet residential neighbourhood in Charleston. It’s within easy walking distance of many of the historic sites, the best shopping streets and most of Charleston’s top-rated restaurants.
The hotel is unique – a blend of Charleston history and a modern style - a calm, welcoming home. From the moment you walk into the lobby, the hotel feels welcoming, modern and bright - very different to the colourful historical properties in the neighbourhood and the charming renovated Delaney House next door where breakfast is served.
The common parts are gorgeous and comfortable - vibrantly patterned carpets, striking wallpaper, stunning art and one-of-a-kind furnishings. The custom-designed rooms are bright and spacious and filled with comfortable, contemporary furnishings, marbled bathrooms and cutting-edge entertainment. Many include a sleek built-in kitchen - a welcome feature if you’re planning to stay for a while.
