Origins
The Pacific Resort Aitutaki opened its doors in 2002 and originally hosted 22 rooms, since then the hotel has continued to expand due to its popularity as an unforgettably romantic destination.
Top Secret
So island-perfect, the glistening white sands, swaying palms, bright blue skies and the clear turquoise lagoon at Pacific Resort Aitutaki takes your breath away. This is a true taste of heaven where thatched beachfront bungalows, villas and suites provide serenity, space and total relaxation.
The sophisticated ambience at Pacific Resort Aitutaki is reflected in colonial-styled accommodation with hardwood floors, attractive timber furniture and a porch from which to sit and watch a magical sea and glorious sunsets.
Diving and snorkelling are just two of the exhilarating pastimes here at Pacific Resort Aitutaki. Take the five-hour cruise around Aitutaki Lagoon and hand-feed the tropical fish, from pretty angel fish to electric blue needle fish. Explore the nearby islands before returning for an exotic South Pacific dinner and island dancing.
The Review
It has to be said the first impression of this island is truly breathtaking. Deemed one of the most secluded islands in the world, you couldn’t feel further from regular life. Deserted beaches, surrounding lagoons and incredible sunsets...the Pacific Resort is one of a kind. Perfect for a romantic retreat, and probably the best honeymoon location you could ask for, you feel like you have the whole island to yourself.
Upon arrival the resort staff are more than accommodating and make it their mission to make you feel instantly at home. The design of the hotel blends well in the surroundings, making the use of nature and has clearly been designed with the environment in mind. This makes the experience even more relaxing as you feel like you’re entirely submerged into the island, as does the pastel colours of the interiors.
Bedrooms are very open and spacious and in keeping with the South Pacific style. The pool has a waterfall plunge pool where many relaxing afternoons can be spent, along with the resort’s private lagoon. There is also an incredible spa with a very skilled masseuse, great for couples’ treatments and to continue the relaxation! However, if you want to step things up a notch then there is a gym on site, as well as activities the hotel put on. The sailing day is especially good and a great way to see the surrounding area.
The restaurant in the resort was just as welcoming and of high standard as the rest of the experience, with no request being too much hassle. Fresh ingredients are used where possible alongside importing premium ingredients from Australia and New Zealand, accompanied by an extensive wine list. Like every other aspect of the hotel, the service was faultless and atmosphere intimate. Every task was met with charm and friendliness at the Pacific Resort, and this is really what sets this destination apart.
