Origins
Born from the vision of the Dwarika’s Group, this resort builds on the legacy of Kathmandu’s iconic Dwarika’s Hotel. Created to preserve and honor Nepal’s traditional architecture and ancient healing wisdom, it opened in Dhulikhel to offer a deeper, more immersive wellness experience rooted in Himalayan culture.
Top Secret
The meditation maze is designed based on sacred geometry—walk it slowly to center your mind. Sunrise yoga sessions often feature views of Everest on clear mornings. Many furnishings are handcrafted from restored wood rescued from old Nepali buildings.
The Review
Check your shoes—and your stress—at the door. At The Dwarika’s Resort in Dhulikhel, the pace slows to the rhythm of breath and birdsong. Perched high on a forested ridge with the Himalayas whispering in the distance, this wellness wonderland is more monastery than hotel, minus the austerity and with just the right amount of indulgence.
Built with ancient wisdom and eco-conscious elegance, its terracotta walls and timbered ceilings nod to Nepal’s rich heritage without a hint of pastiche. Each suite is a quiet retreat of clay and wood, where the views do all the talking—and they have a lot to say. Come sunrise, golden light spills across the peaks; come nightfall, you fall asleep to the sounds of rustling leaves and your own restored breath.
There are no TVs, no mini-bars, and not a cocktail in sight—just Ayurveda, yoga, forest bathing, and slow, soul-warming food tailored to your dosha. The spa is less about fluffy robes and more about finding your center (though there are fluffy robes, too). We floated in a salt cave, lost time in the meditation maze, and left our phones untouched for longer than we thought possible.
This isn’t just a resort—it’s a reawakening. Whether you're escaping burnout or just craving silence, The Dwarika’s offers the rarest luxury of all: stillness.
