Booking London Fashion Week with Boutique Hotel Club

This September London Fashion Week S/S 27 runs from Thursday, September 17 through to Monday, September 21. I checked five top London hotels, from the Park Lane to Piccadilly, that illustrate our member rates against the lowest publicly available prices on the hotels' own websites and Booking.com for the exact same five-night block (September 17-21).
The Dorchester, Park Lane
The Dorchester, London original palace hotel offers white-glove service, views over Hyde Park and direct access to shops and dining in Mayfair. The Promenade remains the most famous afternoon tea room in the city, and the Executive Double is a proper room with park views. This one includes breakfast and comes with cancellation flexibility, which is rarer than it should be during Fashion Week.
Executive Double Room
(Includes breakfast and free cancellation)
Lowest price for September 17-21 on either the hotel's own website or Booking.com: £6,720
Boutique Hotel Club member rate: £5,334
Total saving: £1,386 (20.6% saving)
Hotel Cafe Royal, Regent Street
A ten-minute walk from The Strand, makes the Hotel Cafe Royal the most conveniently located hotel on this list. A Victorian Beaux-Arts landmark, the rooms are theatrical and high-ceilinged, and the Akasha Holistic Wellbeing Centre is the best hotel spa in London for post-show recovery. The Ten Room and the Green Bar are where buyers and stylists meet for early-morning coffees before the first show. This rate includes breakfast and carries no cancellation fee, which is the kind of flexibility you need when show schedules shift by six hours the night before.
Deluxe King
(Includes breakfast and free cancellation)
Lowest price for September 17-21 on either the hotel's own website or Booking.com: £4,446
Boutique Hotel Club member rate: £3,741
Total saving: £705 (15.8% saving)
Mandarin Oriental, Knightsbridge
The Mandarin Oriental is a Hong Kong brand that sits on the edge of Hyde Park, walking distance from Harrods and the Harvey Nichols showroom circuit. The rooms are quiet, the service is calibrated to Asian expectations of discretion and anticipation, and the hotel has a Mandarin-speaking concierge team that understands the needs of a Chinese Fashion Week delegation. This rate is non-refundable and does not include breakfast, which is worth noting.
Superior Double
(No breakfast, no cancellation)
Lowest price for September 17-21 on either the hotel's own website or Booking.com: £4,468
Boutique Hotel Club member rate: £3,863
Total saving: £605 (13.5% saving)
Flemings, Mayfair
Flemings is a townhouse hotel on Half Moon Street, tucked behind Claridge's and a six-minute walk from The Twenty Two. It has a quieter, more residential feel than the palace hotels, with a private courtyard and a restaurant that is genuinely good rather than merely convenient. The breakfast is included and the rate is non-refundable, which is standard for this price point.
Deluxe Double
(Includes breakfast, no cancellation)
Lowest price on either hotel own website or Booking.com for September 17-21: £2,323
Boutique Hotel Club member rate: £1,871
Total saving: £452 (19.5% saving)
The Athenaeum, Piccadilly
The Athenaeum has been a Piccadilly fixture since the 1850s, and the bay window rooms look out onto Green Park with the kind of London view that makes you feel you have arrived somewhere that matters. The American Bar is one of the few hotel bars in the city where you can still get a proper martini at midnight without feeling like you are in a nightclub. It is a ten-minute walk from 180 The Strand, and the breakfast room is a proper affair rather than a buffet scrum.
Deluxe Bay Window Double Room
(Includes breakfast, no cancellation)
Lowest price on either hotel own website or Booking.com for September 17-21: £1,898
Boutique Hotel Club member rate: £1,686
Total saving: £212 (11.2% saving)
