The Journal
Daniel Okoye is an adventure and wildlife travel writer who has spent much of the last decade in the field. From Kruger's private reserves to Patagonian lodges, he reports on the places where remarkable landscapes meet genuinely responsible hospitality. Daniel cut his teeth as a safari guide before turning to writing, and it shows: he's as attentive to a camp's conservation model and community links as to the quality of the tents. He's an advocate for slower, lighter travel and for lodges that give more than they take. His features balance the thrill of the wild with clear-eyed advice on when to go, what to pack and how to choose an operator you can trust. When he's not on assignment he volunteers with rewilding projects and photographs birds most people walk straight past.
