Origins
The Manager Terezdina took her first steps on the site that is now the hotel. Her parents Marinos and Mary had a retirement dream to create a boutique hotel on the family land, and along with help from the architect George Evripiotis, that dream was achieved after 7 years of planning and construction.
Top Secret
The cafe and bar area is a popular spot, with current and previous guests mingling and chatting away. It is part hotel bar, and part Kini social club. Most guests were repeat visitors, which is a testament to the atmosphere created there.

The Review
After a scenic 15-minute drive from Ermoupoli ferry terminal, across the central hills of Syros, the road winds its way down towards the quaint beach-side village of Kini, set in a large natural amphitheater of rolling hills. Manager Terezdina will welcome you, not with a formal ‘sir’ or ‘madame’, but in her typical laidback barefoot fashion and with a beaming smile.
The elegant and spacious hotel is set a short walk above the village, providing a consistent cooling breeze that drifts in from the ocean. Days start with a delicious breakfast, available until the wonderfully casual time of midday, on the tables that overlook the turquoise waters below. Plates are filled with local produce such as breads, hams, honey, orange cake, fresh tomatoes, capers and orange juice, all competing for your attention.
Afternoons can be spent lounging on the giant sunloungers, deckchairs, or bean bags that surround the swimming pool that forms the central hub of the small hotel. All suites are set above and below the pool in a tiered terraced layout that affords all guests the privacy and quiet required for a truly relaxing stay.
As the sun sets, guests gather around the bar to sample the unique cocktails and local craft beers, sharing stories as the sky turns a deeper and more vivid orange with every passing minute. Eventually you’ll have to pull yourself away for the walk into town for dinner at one of the many beach-front tavernas while the waves gently lap against the shore. Huge beds, with a range of mattress and pillow choices, await your return as you recharge for another truly exhausting day in the capable hands of Terezdina and her team.
